Student Visit to St. Otterans

We were delighted to welcome a group of twenty-six fourth-year #students and their lecturer, Stephen Power from the Dept. of Architecture and the Built Environment School of Engineering at the South East Technological University to our site at the former St. Otterans’ Hospital in #Waterford last week, where our dedicated Team are carrying out extensive #refurbishment works for the Health Service Executive.

The students, who are currently studying a mix of BSc. Construction Management & Engineering, BSc. in Quantity Surveying and BSc. in Architecture BIM Technicians, were given a comprehensive tour of the site by our Project Manager Martin Monaghan where they gained firsthand insights into the intricate processes involved in the #heritage and #conservation aspects of the project, through to the finishing details.

As part of their Building Pathology Module, the students will be tasked with submitting assignments based on their visit over the coming weeks. We are confident that this experience will greatly enrich their understanding and academic journey, equipping them with practical knowledge that will benefit them in their future careers.
